Tehran calls on Pakistan to identify and hand over terrorists to Iran
The Iranian ambassador to Islamabad, Alireza Haghighian, has
demanded Pakistan to immediately identify and extradite the terrorists who had
killed 14 Iranian border guards on Friday night. The attack was carried out by
armed men on Iran’s frontier with Pakistan near the city of Saravan in the
southeastern Iranian province of Sistan and Baluchestan. On Saturday
evening, the Iranian Foreign Ministry submitted a protest note over the border
attack to the Pakistani Embassy in Tehran. Iran urged Islamabad to take serious
measures under the security agreements between the two countries to deal with
and arrest the terrorists.
